The Laureate Award for Excellence in Robotic Engineering

Robotics has come a long way since the great science fiction writer Issac Asimov introduced the world to the term in the 1940s. Since then, the use of robotics has transformed industries and resulted in unimaginable advances and contributions to society. Within our own network of universities, we have over one hundred thousand engineering students ? all of which are capable of creating remarkable innovations of their own. As a way to showcase the spirit of innovation and the potential of our students, we are launching a competition for undergraduate students to create their own interactive robot. Teams of undergraduate students will design an interactive robotic system to welcome, guide and provide multimedia presentations to visitors at any Laureate campus, consistent with the theme: ?Get to know my Laureate Institution? The robot should guide the visitors through their campus and share the relevant and important background and facts about their institution in a compelling manner. The winning team will re
